It was a fashion frenzy over at International Plaza Bay Street! The creativity and innovation put on display by local designers along with the name brands we have come to love showed just how much people are no longer loyal to labels but innovation, excitement and oh so much fun with fashion. It was especially exciting to find models of all shapes, sizes and color!
Diversity is the new trend and I am here for ALL of it!
I didn't make it out to the Runway (Mom stuff), but I am forever grateful to my trustee girls who went live so I could attend fashions biggest week in real time from the comfort of my duvet covers.
Opening night at Neiman Marcus was so exciting. I had no idea what to expect but the organizers did not disappoint. Our glam bags were filled with premium designer perfume - Cartier and Acqua Di Parmaand; Beauty products from the Christian Dior Givenchy collections. (I'm so excited to try those out).
But can we take a moment here to talk about the refreshments? The gourmet biscuits with Godiva filling had me re-thinking my weight loss goals. Just before the event, I had successfully completed three weeks of no carbs! Three weeks I say! But on that evening, Bundt Cakes provided the perfect, single serve, red velvet bundt cakes (which was still way too much for me to eat - I shared it with my kids when I got home). It was warm and tasty with cream cheese icing - my fave!)
Needless to say, I ate the damn cake!
I also met a few local designers who actually flattered the hell out of me by asking me to wear one of her pieces that very same evening! Talk about fresh off the Runway! If quality, handmade delicate unique chic pieces are your thing, you should visit Monya Flora's website - Her pieces are made of the highest quality materials and although delicate are made with great quality.
Overall It was a perfect night - I think I just might hit the Runway at Tampa Bay Fashion Week 2018.
See you there!
